This question is tricky, and one can find a lot of good references against this.
Let me check this out, and also post a reference to a good book on Indo-Europeans.
One problem, I think, is the rate of change in Indo-European languages.
There are others. There is a huge amount of literature and research about the Caspian/Pontic source of the Indo-Europeans.
Anyway, thanks for reference: please continue. I remain wary of this question, either way.
