		<description>Speaking for myself, I was an avid meditator in the 90s, but fell out of it for various reasons.  I wouldn&#039;t endorse any of this stuff for beginners because the issues are too complex and it is too difficult for the average person to successfully navigate these traditions at this point.  For example, in terms of Pali Buddhism, there is a huge rift between the commentarial based form(dominant in Sri Lanka and Myanmar) and the sutta based form:
